The Latest Updates in Sage Intacct Construction 2026 Release 2

The newest release of Sage Intacct Construction 2026 is here! This release has several new updates for improved efficiency and streamlined processes that we know you'll want to take advantage of. It also includes enhancements to Sage Construction Management and Sage Intacct Estimating. Read some of the highlights below: 

Construction Module

Flexibly Release Retainage from a Construction Project Contract: Releasing retainage directly from a project contract saves time and streamlines your customer retainage workflow, particularly for regions that only release retainage in bulk. The flexible retainage release process applies a minimum percentage that you enter across all AR sales invoice lines on the project contract.

Assign Delegates to Approve Timesheets Using Sage Intelligent Time: You can now assign delegates to approve timesheets while you're out of the office using Sage Intelligent Time. When employees submit timesheets while an approver is absent, delegates can approve or decline them to ensure that payroll processing continues smoothly.

Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW)

New Reporting Areas for Payment History and Work Orders: A reporting area correlates data objects that provide specialized options. The three new reporting areas include:

• AP Payment History: Provides a unified view of payment activity, linking each payment item—such as checks, cash, adjustments, or discounts—to the specific Accounts Payable (AP) items to which it is applied.
• AR Payment History: Provides a unified view of payment activity, linking each payment item—such as checks, cash, adjustments, or discounts—to the specific Accounts Receivable (AR) items to which it is applied.
• Work Order: Provides work order information for the Work Order dimension.

Sage Construction Management

Time and Expense Field Users Can View and Upload Pictures: Time and expense field users can now both view and upload new photos directly within Sage Construction Management, either individually or in an album.

AccountingLink for Sage Intacct: Various updates have been made, such as:

• Billable status (Billable, Unbillable, or On Hold) can now be set when posting bills, sub-invoices, timecards, and miscellaneous expenses in Sage Intacct.
  
• Review prime invoices and sub invoices faster by revising contract values alongside current, prior, and total invoice amounts, validating invoice totals, and tracking financial progress without leaving the Post Details forms.
  
• Import, export, link, and automatically sync vendor and customer contacts between Sage Construction Management and Sage Intacct.
  

Sage Estimating

Export estimates directly to Sage Construction Management: Estimators can push detailed cost breakdowns into Sage Construction Management, ensuring consistency between the preconstruction and project execution phases.

Create Measurements "On the Fly" with eTakeoff: After creating a measurement in eTakeoff Dimension, the quantity is returned to the estimate line, and the measurement appears in the Measurement Summary in Dimension.
