Sage 100 Contractor Version 2026.2 includes updates that can help your team improve payment workflows, manage customer risk, review payroll information, and maintain accurate reporting. The release also includes several important fixes and updates to the payroll tax tables.
Below is a summary of the enhancements and updates.
In 1-5 Bank Reconciliation, users can now view an account’s calculated balance as of a selected cutoff date alongside the current account balance. This is helpful when reconciling bank statements that span multiple accounting periods.
If Sage cannot reliably calculate the balance, the cutoff balance will remain blank, and the system will notify you that it is unavailable.
The vendor payment process now includes an option to automatically open the lien-waiver print window after checks or ACH payments are posted.
In 4-3-2 Pay Vendors, the "Print Lien Waivers after payment" checkbox is selected by default. After selecting invoices and posting payments, users can print lien waivers for the invoices paid during that payment run. If lien waivers are not needed, users can clear the checkbox before posting.
This enhancement can help reduce manual follow-up and keep payment documentation aligned with the vendor-payment process.
Sage 100 Contractor now allows users to create custom ratings in 3-6 Receivable Clients and assign an action to each rating.
For example, a business could create ratings for customers that require additional review, prepayment, or special handling before new work begins. Each rating can be configured to:
This gives your team more control over customer risk and helps ensure that the appropriate review occurs before new work is scheduled.
A new Vacation History window is now available in 5-2-1 Employees. Users can review an employee's vacation time, including the check date, pay period start and end dates, and vacation hours.
Vacation-history entries are created when payroll is finally computed, so the information reflects processed payroll runs. Users can also drill into current payroll records to review the original payroll details. This history tracks vacation time taken, not accrued vacation balances or dollar amounts.
The 5-1-5-21 Workers’ Comp Report now allows users to filter results by a single workers’ compensation code or a range of codes.
This feature can make it easier to review specific employee classifications and focus reporting on the data most relevant to the task at hand.
Version 2026.2 also includes clearer warning messages when users override calculated retention amounts in 3-7 Progress Billing and 3-9 Unit Pricing. The updated messages explain how overrides can affect totals, reports, and forms, and provide guidance for removing an override when needed.
For equipment-type job cost records, the "Override Billing Amount" option is no longer selected automatically for new records with a billing rate. This allows Sage 100 Contractor to apply the Equipment Rate Table from the T&M Billing Setup record during billing calculations. Existing job cost records are not changed during the upgrade.
The release also prevents users from selecting dedicated control accounts, such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, as offset accounts when adding Bank Feed transactions to Sage. This can help prevent posting errors and support stronger audit practices.
The U.S. payroll tax tables were updated for Arkansas, Georgia, and Utah.
For Washington employers, the WA Paid Family and Medical Leave Aatrix form now includes Washington Cares wages after an update to the available tax-type mapping. Users can review payroll-calculation assignments in 5-4-2 State Forms under Options > Payroll Calculation Assignments.
The release also resolves an issue where certain State Tax Reports could display an “index out of range” error after the report window was resized.
Version 2026.2 is not compatible with Sage Estimating 20.1 or earlier. If your business integrates Sage 100 Contractor with Sage Estimating, upgrade Sage Estimating to version 21.1 or later first. Sage also no longer supports Windows versions earlier than Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 for this release.
