Sage 500 ERP (formerly "MAS 500") was built for a very different technological environment than today's. First released in 1998 and architected in VB6, the platform was designed around Microsoft SQL Server and Windows operating systems available at the time. While it may still operate for some organizations, its legacy foundation can make it harder to scale and adapt to the automation, reporting, integration and user-experience requirements of a growing business.
Since 2014, Sage 500 ERP has essentially been in maintenance mode, receiving basic usability enhancements, security patches and hotfixes, and Microsoft compatibility updates for newer versions of Windows OS and MS SQL Server—not meaningful product innovation.
As a result, RKL eSolutions no longer sells new licenses, engages in new deployments, or accepts new Sage 500 ERP clients. While we are not taking on new clients for ongoing support of Sage 500 ERP, we can help you migrate to your next solution. We have migrated many of our Sage 500 ERP clients, and we can help you.
