Sage X3 Form 1099 Changes for Tax Year 2021

As 2021 draws to a close, there is one more area of change that may be lower profile, but still critically important: Form 1099 filling and reporting.

The changes to the 2021 1099 forms are indicated below:

  • 1099 MISC - New Box 11
  • 1099 DIV - New Boxes 2e and 2f
  • 1099 NEC - New Box 2
  • NEC form - height reduced to 3 per page

A 1099 cumulative patch is available and will update the X3 environment with any latest tax reporting changes.

The cumulative patch will contain the following:

  • Previously delivered 1099 fixes that are not dependent on your current patch level
  • 1099 tax filing form and box changes for 2017
  • 1099 tax filing form and box changes for 2018
  • 1099 tax filing form and box changes for 2019
  • 1099 tax filing form and box changes for 2020
  • 1099 tax filing form and box changes for 2021


Patch Compatibility:

  • Patches are available for v11 and v12 only
    • For v21, 2019 R5 (v12p20) or higher is required


The 2021 1099 / 1096 changes are included in the following versions:

  • Version 11 Patch 21
  • Version 12 2022 R1
