On July 31, 2001, I joined Kuntz Lesher LLP with the customers of my prior company J&J Business Systems LLC, to launch a new IT Services Division. RKL eSolutions is now a well-established and highly regarded Sage Partner, representing many of the Sage ERP solutions. We focus on delivering excellent service and earning the continued trust of our customers. In short, we hope every customer turns into a customer for life. Our ongoing initiatives center on bringing new solutions to our customers to better meet their needs and goals.
What started as a small division of a local accounting firm in 2001, has become an award-winning, national leader in Sage ERP and IT consulting services. I’m proud of this legacy, but what truly inspires me are the wonderful colleagues and professionals that carry it forward as part of the current RKL eSolutions team.
Two decades of growth and change
It is a true honor to lead a team of talented and dedicated professionals and watch as they collaborate with our diverse range of clients to solve technology challenges and reach business goals. This has been my favorite part of the job over the past two decades.
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy. Over the past two decades, we’ve had ups and downs as an organization and have seen team members come and go. Several have even gone on to work for our customers; in fact, one of our current customers has four RKL eSolutions alumni on its team. For me, that is the ultimate compliment to our level of service, skill and expertise.
The COVID-19 pandemic has redefined the word “challenge” for our team and for the world as a whole. It has tested us all personally and professionally, forcing us to learn to face adversity in a completely new way. Our workforce is largely remote, so physical separation from colleagues is not a new concept for our organization, but stepping up our cadence of communication and working together to navigate the changes brought on by the pandemic unified us as a team.
So what’s next for eSolutions?
Looking ahead, our priority is to deepen our customer relationships as full-scale technology advisors and partners to our clients, leveraging the range of CPA advisory services provided by RKL LLP in addition to our own portfolio of software and IT solutions.
We’re focused on further developing and growing our IT Services, Custom Development, Business Intelligence, and Sage practices as we adapt to changes in technology and identify new opportunities. We are also working to expand our services in cybersecurity, data analytics, robotic process automation, and the internet of things, just to name a few. This multi-dimensional approach means we can help our clients resolve their immediate software needs and identify new solutions to improve profitability and process.
It’s been an exciting two decades, but I’m even more inspired by the endless opportunity ahead of us. This quote from Thomas S. Monson seems fitting for this moment: “Learn from the past, live in the present, and prepare for the future.”
