Sage 500 ERP Error: Registration Expired or Not Registered

Your Sage 500 ERP is not registered or the registration has expired. You have ## day(s) to register Sage 500 ERP

Have you ever received that error message after trying to login to your Sage 500 ERP system? Well, you’re not alone. Here are the steps to resolve this error and get back to work.

Option 1: Automatic Internet Registration

The SQL Server must have access to the internet to use this method. Also, the SQL Server service log on account must have the ability to read, write, and modify files in the

..%System Root%system32 folder.

  1. Expand System Manager and Maintenance. Double-click Maintain Site
  2. Review and, if necessary, update the information in the Customer NumberSerial Number, and Unlocking Key fields
  3. Click Automatic Internet Registration
  4. Click Finish and Exit, and then log off of Sage 500 ERP.

Option 2: Manual Registration

If you don’t have access to the internet or when Automatic Internet Registration is not accessible, use the Manual Registration Method below:

  1. Log on to the Sage 500 ERP registration Web page
  2. Log on to Sage 500 ERP as a user assigned the SQL sysadmin role, and perform the following steps:
  1. Expand System Manager and Maintenance. Double-click Maintain Site
  2. Review and if necessary update the information in the Customer NumberSerial Number, and Unlocking Key fields
  3. Click the Manual Registration button
  4. Copy the message in the text box, and paste it into the appropriate box on the Web page
  5. On the Web page, click Submit to generate the response message
  6. Copy the response message from the Web site, and paste it into the appropriate field in the Maintain Site window
  7. Click Finish and Exit, and then log off of Sage 500 ERP.
