I am looking to make this a series of posts related to the Sage ERP X3 V7 Development Platform. This will be the first in a series of posts related to the highly anticipated Sage ERP X3 V7 codename Syracuse. So this will be over a period of time that I do not control so I am unable to give you a timeframe but I will link the series together for your future reference.
This is not a post about Sage ERP X3 V7 release date. That type of information will be provided by Sage when it is appropriate. As of now this information is not yet determined. I will also not be covering why they have made these changes as that is something they will be covering in more detail with the release. What we will be discussing here is how you can begin preparing your Sage ERP X3 Development process.

I also wish to mention that any of the items I mention in these posts are pre-release and subject to change prior to Release to Manufacturing (RTM) by Sage.
This post is to provide you with a high-level summary of the various Development Tools. Sage ERP X3 V7 is a significant change to various components of the underlying technology. This means that the Sage ERP X3 Development Community will need to make sure that they have prepared their skills for the upcoming release.
As you will see below there are a lot of enhancements on the horizon. It is important to mention that all of these components, tools, utilities, etc are complimentary to the SAFE X3 Framework. There are also some enhancements and extensions to the SAFE X3 Framework in V7 which I will cover at a future appropriate time.
