Migrating from Sage Pro to Sage 100

LDC_logoChange is always daunting, especially when you have been doing something the same way for over 20 years.  Just ask the Laborers' District Council (LDC) of Philadelphia who
recently converted to Sage 100 after using Sage Pro for over 20 years.  Often time’s organizations manage to find work arounds for the things they need to get accomplished, band-aiding the situation. Companies then get so accustomed to those work arounds that they are accepted as standard procedures.  LDC had found a lot of work arounds to manage their business using Sage Pro.

The time had come and LDC knew they had to do something if they were going to keep up with their member base. “We knew we had to implement new software sooner or later. But change is always scary so we weren’t in a big hurry,” Alan Parham, LDC Administrator. Since LDC provides services to regional union members they could not afford a lot of downtime.  They also could not afford a lot of mistakes while transitioning to the new software.

RKL eSolutions was able to work with the LDC team to simplify their processes and provide a smooth transition from Sage Pro to Sage 100.

  • Twenty Companies were consolidated to eight Companies.
  • Intercompany transactions were introduced to remove several work arounds. 05
  • The GL was restructured to provide working financial statements.
  • ACH payments were processed in Sage 100 instead of off-line
  • Staff was fully trained and involved in the process changes

Read the LDC case study, Migrating from Sage Pro to Sage 100 to learn more about how the Staff at LDC embraced the many changes that were implemented.
