Sage 100 2025 is here, and this release brings a solid mix of versatile upgrades and improvements designed to make day-to-day operations more efficient.

New Feature Highlights in Sage 100 2025

Extended Invoice Number Length

One of the more impactful changes is the increased invoice number limit from 7 to 20 characters in Accounts Receivable, Sales Order, and Job Cost. For companies managing more detailed invoicing systems or third-party integrations, this added flexibility is a big plus. Sage has also included an “A/R Invoice Expansion Conversion Utility” to help convert your existing numeric invoice numbers to the new format.

Improved audit tracking for orders

Tracking changes to Sales Orders and Purchase Orders just got a lot easier. Version 2025 adds enhanced audit logging that captures edits, deletions, and additions. You can review activity reports or use the new Audit Viewer button in the Audit Activity windows for quick access. It’s a great improvement for accountability and control across teams and can be adjusted to fit each user with security permissions.

easier package tracking

Sage added a small but useful time-saver: in A/R and Sales Order, you can now copy package tracking numbers straight to your clipboard from the Summary Package Tracking window.

New request for quote (RFQ) feature

In the Purchase Order module, users can now generate and email RFQs to one or multiple vendors using Paperless Office. This helps centralize your quoting process and makes it easier to stay on top of vendor communications without leaving Sage.

G/L Reversals

Reversing General Ledger entries now has one less step—reversal dates default to the original posting date as long as the period is still open. It’s a small change that reduces errors and speeds up month-end reconciliation.

Inventory Management updates

There are a couple of new updates here:

UPC/EAN Code Validation: On the Item Maintenance Additional tab, you can now add the Universal Product Code (UPC) or European Article Number (EAN) for an item. You have the flexibility to select from five different types of UPC or EAN codes in the UPC / EAN type field to meet your business needs.

New Physical Count Sorting Options: You can now sort physical count worksheets by product line or extended description, especially useful for larger inventories or when organizing by category.

production management improvements

Several upgrades were made in Production Management:

Templates now support alphanumeric revision numbers, instead of numeric only, which makes managing multiple versions much easier.

The “Copy From” feature has been enhanced. You can now attach files directly to specific steps within a work ticket (open or closed tickets), which is great for adding instructions or visual references.

There’s also a new option to duplicate steps, speeding up setup for recurring or similar jobs.

In "Activity Code Maintenance," you can now establish a standard cost rate per piece and divisor for an activity code to calculate budget labor cost. This provides you with the flexibility to define a standard cost rate per hour and/or rate per piece for an activity code. The standard cost rate per piece is the functionality that was in the Work Order module.

Crystal reports runtime upgrade

Sage also updated the Crystal Reports Runtime component to the latest version, which includes security enhancements, compatibility improvements, performance improvements and new features.

new integrations

Supply Chain Intelligence (formerly known as Anvyl) is now available for integration with Sage 100!

Sage Supply Chain Intelligence is a new supply chain visibility and collaboration platform that helps manufacturers, distributors, and brands streamline the entire Purchase Order lifecycle. From issuing a PO to final delivery, Sage Supply Chain Intelligence centralizes communication with suppliers, tracks order milestones, and captures critical documents all in one platform.

This is especially useful for companies looking to eliminate scattered email threads and spreadsheets, and instead, gain real-time insight into their Supply Chain. What really sets it apart is its interface and automation tools. You can build approval workflows, automatically follow up with suppliers, and get alerts when shipments are delayed or at risk.

It integrates easily with Sage 100, making it a “plug-and-play " solution for businesses ready to move beyond manual processes and into a more connected, transparent way of managing production and purchasing.

Whether you’re tracking five POs or five hundred, Sage Supply Chain Intelligence helps you stay on top of it all with less effort and more accuracy.
