The second Sage Intacct release of 2025 is here! This release has several new updates for improved workflow efficiency and greater informed decisions. Read some of the latest updates below:
AI-Powered Automation
Streamline your supplies workflow: Order linking enables organizations to manage bulk orders with suppliers, addressing the need for varied product delivery schedules or maintaining surplus inventory for multiple departments. Linking requests to standing purchase orders can save costs with volume purchasing and enhance procurement efficiency.
Customize supplies pick lists and pick reports: You now have the ability to customize your Supplies Inventory pick list templates and pick reports to help your team fulfill requests promptly and gather the necessary data for precise activity analysis
Company and Administration
Import service-general availability: Instead of sending your data into a "black box" and waiting for error reports via email, you now have a dedicated import workspace that provides real-time visibility and control on the vital function of importing data.
Monitor the creation process of instances and console templates: Previously, after you created an instance or console template, the State column defaulted to "Ready." Now, after you create an instance or console template, the State column displays "Ready," "In progress," or "Failed."
Production type field and Demo option removed from the Account console: The options available when you create a company instance using the Accountant console were updated. The production type field was removed to streamline usage tracking. The demo option was removed because demo companies remain active for only a limited period.
Permission changes: You can find information about the permissions needed for each new feature in the "Permissions and other requirements" section of its associated release note. Read more here.Accounts Payable
Issue checks to joint payees: If you handle bills from vendors who subcontract portions of their work and you need to pay both parties, you can now add one or more joint payees to a bill and issue two-party checks to them. You can make payments to joint payees at either the bill level or line level.
Before you void a payment: When you try to void a reconciled payment, manual payment, or AP advance, Sage Intacct notifies you that the transaction has already been reconciled. The notification allows you to make an informed decision on whether to proceed or cancel the operation.
New rule type for named users in bill approvals: The way you add approval users to your bill approval policy was updated to remove clutter from the Rule type list and make the approval policy easier to scan. To add a named user, select the new User Level rule type.
Accounts Receivable
Inter-entity bill back supports child locations: Inter-entity bill back now supports child locations of an entity, allowing you to create bill back invoices with more detailed location coding.
External credits included in entity-level AR Statements: Align entity-level AR statement balances with your AR Ledger and AR Aging reports by including credits you applied from other entities.
Warning when reversing a reconciled advance: When you try to reverse a customer advance, Sage Intacct notifies you that the transaction has already been reconciled. The notification allows you to make an informed decision on whether to proceed or cancel the operation.
Retiring customer payment service integrations this year: Our customer payment service integrations with Authorize.net and PayPal are going away on November 7, 2025, meaning customer payment services and APIs for customer bank and credit card accounts will no longer be supported to process payments after this time. Check out VersaPay, one of our recommended AR solutions, to continue accepting customer payments in Sage Intacct.
Cash management
Import credit card bank transactions for reconciliation with Bank transaction assistant file import: You can import CSV, QIF, XLS, XLSX, OFX, CAMT.053, BAI2, and ASO files, which give you extra flexibility. Make sure that your file is formatted correctly to ensure a smooth import process.
Classic import for reconciliation is retiring: This is an announcement that we plan to retire the Classic import method no earlier than May 2026. Many of you have already switched to the newer Bank transaction assistant file import experience and are enjoying its benefits. If you haven't yet, transitioning to the new method will allow you to take full advantage of the latest features we offer.
Reclassify GL account for credit card transactions and partially edit: Reclassify the GL account for credit card transactions that are reconciled or are in a Paid or Partially paid state, as long as the period is open. Additionally, you now can partially edit Paid credit card transactions.
Fixed Assets Management
Transfer assets between entities, revert transfers, and more: In the R1 release, we introduced transferring assets within an entity. In this release, we're excited to expand that functionality to support transfers between entities.
Depreciation Roll Forward report: The Depreciation Roll Forward report provides a detailed view of changes in accumulated depreciation for your fixed assets over a specified period.
Inventory & Supplies
Streamline your supplies workflow: Order linking allows organizations to place bulk orders with suppliers to accommodate the need for different product delivery dates, or to keep extra supplies on hand for multiple departments.
Increase transaction workflow efficiency: Sage Intacct now permits users to save draft inventory transactions without a document number. This change ensures greater efficiency in completing transaction workflows and greater flexibility during inventory transaction processing.
Autofill the request delivery method: If all the supplies in a request are going to the same recipient or location, select a default delivery method to speed up order completion.
Order entry
Increase transaction workflow efficiency: Sage Intacct now permits users to save draft sales transactions without a document number. This change ensures more efficiency in completing your sales transaction workflows, and greater flexibility during transaction processing.
purchasing
Hide the price for certain transactions: You can now hide the price column on Purchasing transactions in situations where the price is not relevant to the document type. This is useful when you receive high-value items and prefer that the item price is not visible.
Match tolerance exceptions: Line items that are exceptions to your tolerance settings are now flagged for draft transactions, along with posted transactions. This allows you to see line item discrepancies before you post the transaction, so you can catch issues before they hit the books.
Time & Expense
Sage Intelligent Time mobile app now supports employee expense automation—Early Adopter: The mobile app now supports employee expense automation so that you can capture receipts, submit expense reports, and approve or decline them from a mobile device quickly.
Distribute time based on transaction allocations—Sage Intelligent Time: Use transaction allocations to distribute time quickly while keeping consistent cost allocation.
Time and Expenses split into two applications: In the past, Time and Expenses was located in a single application, now it is split up into two separate applications, "Time" and "Expenses." Learn more about this change here.
User Experience
List enhancements-Available for All Regions: With enhanced lists, you can manage list and record details side-by-side, leverage advanced filters, and customize your list view for the way you work. This functionality is now available on over 300 lists.
